16 degrees this morning, cloudy and snowing. Picked up about 3 inches of snow on my deck last night. Here`s what went on yesterday….

Groomer Gerald ran the Pine Stump trail #8 again. He rated it as fair.

Groomer Kevin ran the Falls trail #45 last night and called it good.

Groomer Jack finished up his run on Trail #8 south from the day before and called it good. He then towed the broke machine back to the barn and stuffed it in there. We`ll take a look at it today and see if we can figure out whats wrong with it. Not sure what trails are gonna be run today.

16 degrees this morning and cloudy. No new snow last night. Sorry for no report yesterday but stuff hit the fan starting at 0800 and it never stopped. You won`t believe this so read on. But first, the trails…..

Groomer Larry hit the Point trails yesterday and called them good.

Groomer Gerald ran the Pine Stump trail and called it fair.

I ran the Falls trail and will call it fair also.

Now here`s the unbelievable part. Groomer Jack was runnin the South trail #8 and right in the middle of his run, in the worst place possible, in the middle of the federal forest section, the machine quit running!!!!! He had a sled traffic jam in front of him and behind him and nobody can get around him. He calls me in the middle of my run and asks for advice. I told him "you`re screwed". He then calls Groomer Mike, aka da boss, and they come up with a plan. Long story short, he hitched a ride with a snowmobilier outa there, he was a few miles back in, and waited for me to finish my run and then me and Mike went to get him. Us 3 got the machine towed back to the Silver Creek bar and we all went home to deal with this mess in the morning. It was 2 am and minus 8 degrees at this time BTW.

So whats gonna happen today is Groomer Gerald is gonna run the Stump trail again and Jack is gonna head out to the Creek and finish his run from the day before and then tow the broke back busted machine back to the barn. This will finish up today. Then we will figure out what went wrong with the broke back machine.

Can you believe it???? We enjoyed just one day with all 3 machines runnin. We thought we were in the clear for awhile!!! I have a few words for this but I`d get in trouble for writing them!!
