Newberry Trail Report – Halfway Lake Resort – 02/04

We had a nice surprise this morning when we woke to 4.5" of fresh snow. A total of 24" on our snow gauge. Just talked to a guest who said yesterday he rode the "best" trails he has ever ridden between here and Grand Marais. The trail had not been touched since the groomer passed. Trails in this location, north and west are best. Trail 45 to falls is fair-good.

Sorry. We do not have availability until Sunday 2/7.

Trails north and west are the best. We had 3" of heavy snow last night. Groomers are reporting that they are up and running. We measured 21" on the snow gauge this morning. We are expecting a high traffic weekend.

We had a warm up this weekend and have lost some snow. We had a good base to begin with and lots of snow in the woods. There is still enough out there to ride on and get lost in. We are measuring 18" on our snow gauge this morning. Stick north for the best conditions, NW has the most snow. To help put things into perspective, our paved road (407) and dirt road 505 are still snow covered.

Ride right from your door in a different direction each day! We are located 12 mi NW of Newberry (Halfway to Lk Superior) and 7 miles south of Pine Stump Junction. Between Grand Marais and Paradise. Tahquamenon Area Snowmobile Association (TASA) grooms over 125 miles of trails that interconnect to hundreds of miles of trails groomed by local associations.
