Drummond Island Trail Report – D.I. Resort – 03/14

GROOMERS REPORT – (3/13/13):
Base: 6 inches
Snowfall Past 24 hours: 0 inches
Last Grooming: 3/13/13
Current Trail Conditions: Fair
Groomers Report: The Groomer has now been out on both ends of the Island since we had the 2 days of rain and temp getting in to the 40’s.

The WEST END of the Island is in decent shape with a few areas that have water running across them causing trenches in the trail

The EAST END between the Maxton Plains and Glen Cove should be AVOIDED. There is standing water on the trail in the plains area and the area along the shore line has trenches about a foot and a half deep from running water due to the rain we had a few days ago. The other trails on this end are still in decent shape. PLEASE RIDE WITH CAUTION AND WATCH FOR RUN OFF AREAS – Thanks everyone!

The Ice Bridge IS CLOSED.

Gaylord Area Trail Report – Ray’s Retreat Country Inn – 03/14

You are missing out! … We still have at least a foot of snow ground cover. The trail did melt down this past warm up but it is frozen solid again. With 4-5 inches of snow on the top of it. It looks beautiful.
The Canadian Boys have reported each evening that their ride was good. Yesterday they rode over to Lewistown. There was less snow over there, but enough to ride on. Overall the trails are in good shape. They said the north/south loop was a great riItde.
Several inches of new snow is in the forecast for Friday.
Its time to get those last rides of the season and enjoy winter’s last fling.
